Not only will we celebrate your victories at the VMA throughout the year, but you'll also compete with exceptional judges to determine the best filmmakers from February 2022 to June 2023. All winners from these editions will automatically be considered for categories such as Best of the Year, Social Awareness Award, Best Woman Filmmaker, and, if present at the event, the Audience Choice Awards.

Moreover, starting from August 1, 2023, you'll receive an email shortlist of Official Selections for an additional 30 categories, including Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary Feature, Best Narrative Short, and more. How can I submit to the Vegas Movie Awardsâ„¢?We accept direct submission via our website using our secured PayPal gateway. For more information, please visit our submission page.

What type of people comprise your audience?Our audience comprises of filmmakers, scriptwriters and film lovers from around the world, of all ages, countries, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and religious backgrounds.

What types of formats do you accept?All films are required to be in an mp4 format, scripts in a pdf or doc format, and posters in a jpeg format. If you upload a link, passwords (if applicable) must be included. Additionally, we require that all films and scripts are either in English, translated to English, or appropriately subtitled or captioned in English.

Can I submit again the same film/script in different categories?Of course, yes. A lot of our winning filmmakers resubmit their projects for the following competitions, in order to try to win a prize in new categories. The only rule we have is that every additional category like Best Director, Best Producer, etc. must be accompanied by at least one MAIN category submission (like Best Narrative Short, Best Indie Short etc.) in order to be accepted into our competitions.

Do you offer waivers or discount codes?At this time, we do NOT offer fee waivers. Unlike many festivals that prioritize discounts over quality, the Vegas Movie Awards™ is dedicated to delivering an unparalleled experience for our filmmakers. Every submission fee is reinvested into ensuring exceptional services, fair and compelling competitions, and a professional platform where your hard work gets the recognition it deserves. We do occasionally share promotional discounts with our subscribers, so it’s worth being on our mailing list for exciting updates. How do I know that my film or script has been accepted into the Festival/if I have met all requirements?Whenever you submit to our Festival, your entry is carefully reviewed within 24 hours for basic requirements (English language, format, length, links are accessible…). If all basic requirements are met, you will receive a Welcome letter from festival@vegasmovieawards.com. If you do not receive a Welcome letter, you may have received an Incomplete Submission notification, advising you of the requirements still to be met or corrected before your project can be accepted.

Are there any annual physical events and/or screenings?Our mission as a Festival and Foundation is to ensure that the extraordinary talent of our most accomplished alumni is recognized and celebrated. What is the best way for groups to travel to the Vegas Movie Awardsâ„¢?We partner with several Las Vegas charter bus companies, such as West Coast transportation experts Las Vegas Charter Bus Company, to help groups get to and from the Vegas Movie Awardsâ„¢ easily and safely. How can I add my win on IMDb?In order to satisfy the each filmmaker’s needs, the filmmaker should update IMDb with their winnings, so they can have their credit shown on that platform quickly. We will then check and fix the page in case of inaccuracies if they are found. How does the Feedback in 72 Hours service works?The option Feedback in 72 Hours, Or It’s Free! in an extra service that we make available through our website to those filmmakers who prefer not to wait until the notification date to know if their project has been selected or not. Projects are reviewed by at least two of our judges with the same care and dedication that they put in reviewing any of the hundreds of films we receive. We will take care of your project immediately after receiving the submission and send over the Official Notification within 72 hours, or we refund the fee for the extra service entirely and immediately.

How can I pre-order my unique Statuette or Official Printed Certificate?Only a winner at the Vegas Movie Awards™ with a personal code can pre-order our unique Statuettes and Official Certificates. The code is sent automatically by e-mail to those entitled right after the winners’ announcement. If you have not received the code, or if you are part of the cast or crew of a winning film, you can request a new code at this EMAIL .

What’s the status of my order?As indicated in the pre-order page of your selected award, the estimated production time is 45 working days for both the Statuettes and the Certificates. Our tireless team will contact you regarding the confirmation of the text to be put on them as soon as your items are manufactured and ready to be packaged. If you don’t receive any communication from us within 25 working days from your order, please contact Jessica Jackson, our Executive Service Coordinator, at jessica@vegasmovieawards.com

Are you in contact with distributors and/or agents?Yes, we do have a list of agents and distributors we work with, both in the United States and in Europe. The current deal we have with them is that each month we submit our best winning projects to them, along with our personal recommendations, so that they can choose the ones they want to be involved in. If they are interested in your project they will contact you directly. If they contact us first instead, it will be our pleasure to let you know immediately.

Do you provide my information to any third parties?Rest assured, when you provide your information to the Vegas Movie Awards, we treat it with the utmost confidentiality. Your information is never provided to anyone outside of the Festival. When providing payment information, you will utilize secure, well-known payment portals, such as Stripe or PayPal.

Do you publish my works anywhere?We do not publish any projects, we will only promote them. All submitted film/script links will never be duplicated or shared, with donors, sponsors or for personal or fundraising purposes, unless specific written permission is obtained from the submitting entity.

What can I do/who can I contact if I need additional assistance to submit my work?We want everyone to have the ability to submit their work to our Festival. To ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations and assistance, we can provide additional means to submit to our Festival. By contacting our Executive Service Coordinator at jessica@vegasmovieawards.com, additional steps and a plan of accommodation can be comprised on a case-by-case basis that allows everyone an equal opportunity to submit and participate.
